About the event

We can ALL relate that there are some toxic and unhealthy traits that have been passed down within our families, generation after generation. They're what we call curses; generationally. Sometimes, these curses are what lead to domestic violence (the dishing of it, as well as the receiving). That's exactly what will be displayed in this new script, written by Metro-East IL indie recording artist and playwright, Ke'Ira. This production will be more than about entertainment, yet a movement; a movement to end stinking thinking within families; a movement to promote healthy living within families; a moment to serve as advocates for both the abused and abuser (as in reality, being an abuser is not the life that one intentionally chooses). A portion of proceeds from this performance will benefit the Violence Prevention Center Southwestern IL. Each performing night will conclude with a panel talk that will encourage breakthroughs.
